1. The Hue citadel (Imperial Citadel and Forbidden Purple City)

Located on the banks of the poetic Huong River, the Hue Citadel is a cultural heritages recognized as world cultural relics. Hue Citadel includes the Imperial Citadel and the Forbidden City, surrounded by the Imperial Capital.

The square citadel has a circumference of 10km, 6.6m high, 21m thick, including 10 main gates and 1 auxiliary gate with Tran Binh Dai called Thai Binh gate. Around and right beside of the citadel wall are 24 defensive fortresses. In addition, outside the citadel there is an enclosed canal system.


Regarding feng shui, the previous record of Hue Citadel is Ngu Binh mountain which is over 100m high, flat top, located in the middle of the plain like a shielding natural screen. The two sides are Hen island and Con Da Vien depicting Thanh Long, right White Tiger (blue dragon on the left, white tiger on the right) creates a dragon flanking the tiger to show respect for kingship.
