Binh Thuan province is in the South Central Coast region which has abundant natural landscapes. There is a great climate year round. Binh Thuan is known for many famous landscapes and famous for its fishery and seafood. For a long time, this place has become an ideal tourist destination for those who love to explore and relax.

Located in the tropical monsoon climate, sunny, windy, no winter and the driest in the country. The climate here is divided into 2 distinct seasons: rainy and dry seasons. Binh Thuan has a long history and culture, especially Champa culture with the PoSaNu Tower relic group, Po Klong Mohnai temple and more than 100 rare and valuable original Cham royal treasures.

The Cham people were among the first who discovered the use of Binh Thuan mineral water. They used this mineral water to cure and make aromatic water to wash holy statues. With Binh Thuan mineral water, in the 13th century, Cham people cured leprosy for their king Che Man. Princess Huyen Tran, daughter of King Tran and also Queen of Che Man, was very surprised at the miracle and mystery of this spring, so she named the stream Vinh Hao (meaning "eternal goodness") .

Places to Visit in Binh Thuan

1. Doi Cat Vang( Golden Sand Dune)

The name Golden Sand Hill is named after its color. Because   the sand hill owns a fairly typical yellow color. The reason that yellow sand is a long-standing iron mine that has formed the iron color of sand so the sand is yellow, hence it is called Golden Sand Hill.

The sand dunes not only have a certain shape, but they change shapes by day or by month. The change due to the wind blows sand away in the face which creating a lot of different shape, different from the original shape. The  magic nature makes  people want to discover the beauty of sand dunes without getting bored. That's why the people here often called Flying Sand Hill.


2. Bau Trang

Bau Trang is divided into 2 parts by a sand hill crossing. The people have been called Bau Ong and Bau Ba. Bau Ba is larger than Bau Ong and contains more water. Bau Ba has 19m deep in the rainy season. Around Bau Ba, there are many lotuses planted. Lotus is planted by residents for the purpose of harvesting seeds and roots. Moreover, the lotus growing in this area that makes the landscape even more unique.

One of the most attractive services here is renting terrain cars to conquer sand hills. There is a variety of colorful cars available here. 3. Fairy Stream( Suoi Tien)

Fairy Spring in Mui Ne, also known as Red Stream Mui Ne, is a small stream next to Hon Rom, Mui Ne Ward, Phan Thiet.

The Fairy Stream is quite shallow, up on your ankle, the deepest place is only above the knee. The water flows gently, so you can walk in the middle of the stream without worrying about getting wet.

Along the stream, one side is the green of the forest, the other is the golden castle. The pure wild beauty of this Fairy Stream in Binh Thuan has touched many hearts of people when coming to this place.


4. Hon Ghenh( Ghenh Islet)

Hon Ghenh is a world of wild and interesting. Visitors will encounter a beautiful oasis, with clear blue sea and fancy coral reefs.

Hon Ghenh, also known as Lao / Lau islet, is located offshore, less than 1 km from Mui Ne, 30 meters high above sea level. At first glance, Hon Ghenh looks like a giant sea turtle swimming on the shore.

To get on this islet you must pass the rocks. Some are the big rocks, some rocks are small. There are some sharp rocks as well. Intermingled  between rocks are sea weeds, creating a green background for the picture of the rocks. Although not very high, but from Hon Ghenh, visitors can zoom in on the distance to the mainland, enough to see the sky and the land wide.


5. Co Thach Rocky Beach

Co Thach is located in Tuy Phong district, 100km north of Phan Thiet city. It is famous for Co Thach beach, wild nature with beautiful seven-color stone beach.

Co Thach Beach is a rock and sand complex. Rocky beaches have many small, round, flat and colorful stones, so the locals call it seven-color stone. Seven-color stone beach is the most attractive point of Co Thach and is one of the unique landscapes of Vietnam.

Characteristics of this rocky beach are from large blocks of rock which ever  sunk deep into the seabed. Over the years, the tides eroded and pushed the debris of large rocks ashore. Over hundreds of years, the formation of colorful rocks today.

Along the coast about 300m, you will see a rocky beach gathering hundreds of thousands of pebbles of all shapes and colors such as white, black, yellow, brown, pink ... with very beautiful lines. Under the waves and the sunshine of the rock, the colors glittered like jewels.


6. Phu Quy Island

Phu Quy Island is a small island in Binh Thuan province, about 120km from Phan Thiet city, with an area of ​​16km2. Phu Quy island has been familiar to many people with the names: Co Long, Thuan Tinh, Cu Lao Khoai Xu and Cu Lao Thu.

Phu Quy is gifted with not only natural resources but also beautiful landscapes. Your first impression when coming here is the very rustic scenery and almost no touch of professional tourism services.

The best time to visit Phu Quy Island is from December to June, at that time the sea is calm and clear, which is convenient for moving to the island and playing at the island.


6.1. Phu Quy Lighthouse

Phu Quy Lighthouse is located on Cam mountain with a height of 108m above sea level, 3km west of the port in Ngu Phung ward. The terrain of the island is quite flat, there are not many high mountains, so the Phu Quy lighthouse is the highest point on the island. To conquer the Lighthouse, you must climb up more than 120 stone steps along the ridge, about 200m long and have many slippery sections. From the lighthouse you will have panoramic view of the island from above and see the fishing boats cruising on the ocean.


6.2.  Bai Nho-Ganh Hang

It is one of the beautiful beaches of Phu Quy with crescent shape limited by cliffs. The sand beach is small but very airy and quiet for you to swim. The sea here is blue, fresh air is an ideal place for any tourists who want to immerse themselves in nature. Ganh Hang is a large cliff facing to the sea, with waves hitting the cliff creating majestic scenery. At Ganh Hang there are old dams of all sizes. In the past, the islanders used to farm squids, now they are abandoned.


6. 3.  Giant Wind Turbine( Phong Dien)

Giant Wind Turbine is the fan was built to create power for the island people. On the island, there are 3 wind fans, each is known to have a height of 60m, and the length of the propeller is 37m. From the lighthouse and the peak of Linh Son Pagoda you can easily see these giant fans. In particular, the way to visit these blowers is very beautiful, one side is the sea, one side is the rows of poplar trees planted along both sides of the road that look very beautiful.


7. Van Thuy Tu Temple

Van Thuy Tu is located on Ngu Ong street, Duc Thang ward, Phan Thiet city, Binh Thuan province, which is the place to worship Nam Hai god - Ca Ong, according to the belief of fishermen in the area.

Worshipping of Ong fish, according to fishermen, he is a god who often helps them whenever they encounter a problem at sea.

In the complex, there is a large area used to bury Ong fish whenever he left his body to the shore. According to local tradition, the fisherman who firstly sees “ Body of God Fish on shore” is the "eldest" son of "him", and this person is responsible for taking care of the funeral, mourning after three years to complete the funeral.  This shows that the tradition and gestures of the fishermen to the Ong fish are very close to the relationship between people.


8. Cau Island

The small island Cu Lao Cau, also known as Cu Lao Cau, Hon Cau is located in Tuy Phong district, about 110km northeast of Phan Thiet city and 1okm from the shore.

From the mainland, Cu Lao Cau looks like a battleship anchored on the sea with the front facing east. The island is very pristine with blue water, surrounded by thousands of stones of different colors and shapes. The stones here are many strange shapes and colors, changing abnormally according to the light of each day. The main fresh water on the island is from Gia Long well. The  island is only suitable for nature lovers, adventurous travelers.


9. Ke Ga Lighthouse

Ke Ga Lighthouse is located in Thuan Quy commune, Ham Thuan Nam district, 30km south of Phan Thiet city. The reason for this name, because the lighthouse is located on a cape protruding the coast about 500m shaped like a chicken's head.

Built in February 1897 by French architect Snavat, the tower is 35 meters high, the height from the lamp to the sea level is 65 m, the foot dimension of the tower is 3 m wide. The  top is 2.5 m wide. On the tower is a large light bulb of 2,000W, with a scanning radius of 22 nautical miles, equivalent to 40 km, used as a signal to guide ships to and fro.


10. Duc Thanh School

Duc Thanh School is located on 39 Trung Nhi Street, Duc Nghia Ward, Phan Thiet. It is on the side of beautiful and peaceful Ca Ty River of Phan Thiet City.

Duc Thanh School is a base of Lien Thanh Company - a famous patriotic organization established in the beginning of the 20th century. It had 3 divisions which were the function of fund raising activities, propagating the books with patriotic content and opened teaching schools for children of patriots and poor laborers following patriotic.

At this location, you can also see the artifact belonging to Uncle Ho such as: Uncle Ho's couches, Uncle Ho's wooden planks every night, the case of letters, the cabinet of Uncle Ho's personal belongings, casket of documents and research, grinding ink, trays and drinking glasses ...


11. Poshanu Cham Tower

The tower complex is a group of temple relics built around the late 8th and early 9th centuries in the ancient Kingdom of Champa, worshiping Shiva - one of the Hindu gods worshiped, revered and most respectable in Cham culture.

In the 15th century, the tower complex was built a number of temples with simple architecture to worship Princess Poshanu - the daughter of King Para Chanh. Princess Poshanu is a person loved by the people for her virtue and conduct. She was also the one who taught people how to grow wet rice, weave brocade, plant and raise animals ...

In the tower is still worshiping the vitality symbol Linga - Yoni with material of solid black stone. This is quite intact construction of Poshanu tower complex.


12. Ta Cu Mountain

Ta Cu mountain is 649m high compared to the sea level, in the past, it was a volcano belonging to the first plateau, so the soil has placer gold and sulfur. In the spring water there are active ingredients of medicinal tree roots very good for curing some diseases.

Ta Cu Mountain is a national nature reserve forest with abundant flora and fauna with more than a dozen rare species named in the world's red books such as rock lizards, grismer, silver langurs Truong Son,... and over 150 kinds of medicinal plants.

The road to the mountain pagoda is over 2500m, through many high slopes with many impressive places: Ban Ha stone, Ban Thuong stone, Bang Lang slope, Lagerstroemia flowers blooming acrossing the forest, Yen Ngua slope ... getting higher into the top of the mountain, you will admire a series of Buddha statues, the most impressive is a 49m long, 11m high Reclining Buddha statue.


13. Dragon Fruit Farm

Binh Thuan is called the "capital" of dragon fruit plantation with more than 22 thousand hectares, accounting for 70% of the country's dragon fruits.

It has productivity of 28 tons per hectare, output of 750,000 tons a year. The planning to 2025 will expand to 30,000 hectares, the average harvest of 30 tons per ha, production of over 843,000 tons a year.

It is forecasted that by 2020, businesses of the province will export reaching 20-25 million USD. Orientation to 2025 will reach 50-60 million USD. At the same time, raising the production value of the dragon fruit industry accounts for 35-36% of the production value of the cultivation.

Binh Thuan province has given geographical indications for dragon fruits with the trademark "Binh Thuan Dragon Fruit and dragon fruit image" to 14 countries and territories with potential markets. So far, 12 countries and territories have agreed to protect the trademark, in the form of certification marks, collective marks such as: USA, UK, Netherlands, Germany, Japan …

Rang Muc( Squid Teeth)

If you come to Phan Thiet, squid teeth will be an extremely interesting choice for you. There are many dishes made from squid teeth such as grilled squid teeth, steamed, fried, rolled ..., often served with pickles, chili mint leaves, green peppers.


Goi Oc Giac( Melo Melo Salad)

Most of the seafood restaurants in Mui Ne have this dish, mostly cooking way in the form of salad. The pulp and intestines of the snail are both edible and hard and fleshy.

Melo Melo salad with main ingredients is boiled pork, fresh vegetables, peanuts, fried onions and of course dipping sauce is delicious and sweet and sour sauce.

Besides, Melo Melo salad will be even more delicious if served with rice paper to make spring rolls.


Cua Huynh De( Royal Crabs)

Eating seafood in Mui Ne "luxurious" but not expensive at all when you are here. If you visit the restaurants in the city and enjoy the king crab dish that is very expensive .

Coming to Mui Ne seafood restaurants or fishing village markets, you will not have to worry too much about that.

With just one king crab, it can be processed into many different attractive dishes including crab porridge, salted king crab or fried with cheese.
