Binh Duong is not really famous as a destination for tourism but an industrialized province with high economic growth rate. Binh Duong is a province in the Southeastern part of Vietnam. It is surrounded by Binh Phuoc to the north, Tay Ninh to the west, Dong Nai to the east, and Ho Chi Minh City to the south.

 

Before, Binh Duong used to be a part of Song Be province, which was divided into Binh Duong and Binh Phuoc in 1997. It was discovered at the same time with Saigon-Dong Nai in the territory expand to the South process led by Nguyen Huu Canh. Due to special historical events, there are up to 15 ethnic groups living in Binh Duong. Apart from the Kinh, the Hoa people are the most populated followed by Khmer and other ethnic people.

 

1. Dai Nam Van Hien Theme Park

In a large area of 21.6 hectares, it includes temple, historical zone, amusement park, shopping centre, movie theatre and hotel. It is considered as a cultural-historical-spiritual synthetic museum which help you understand more about Vietnam.

2. Hoi Khanh Pagoda
Hoi Khanh Pagoda is an ancient Buddhist temple reclaimed by Zen master Dai Ngan in the second Canh Hung year, the Le Hien Tong dynasty, the New Year of the Rooster (1741) in Thu Dau Mot City, Binh Duong Province.

 

At first the temple was built on a high hill, but in 1861 it was destroyed during the war. The pagoda was rebuilt by Thich Chanh Dac at the foot of the hill about 100 m away from the old position. The current address of the pagoda is 29 Chua Hoi Khanh Street, Phu Cuong Ward, Thu Dau Mot City, 30 km north of Ho Chi Minh City.

 

3. Tuong Binh Hiep lacquer village
Tuong Binh Hiep traditional lacquer craft village is located in Tuong Binh Hiep Commune, Thu Dau Mot City, about 7km north of the city center. For a long time, this place is still famous for the prestigious and quality lacquer-making craft, exported to a number of countries in the world and participated in many domestic and international exhibitions. Coming here, you will witness firsthand the lacquer making process, a unique traditional job unique to Vietnam.

 

4. Ceramics village
Traditional ceramics village of Binh Duong is located in 3 communes: Hung Dinh, Thuan Giao and Binh Hoa communes of Thuan An town, Binh Duong and Chanh Nghia ward belongs to Thu Dau Mot city with over 500 ceramic kilns.

 

The ceramic products here are quite diverse in colors and designs, from familiar household appliances to fine art decorations and industrial ceramics. Binh Duong ceramic is glossy and durable, which is favored by many consumers throughout the country.

 

5. Lai Thieu orchard

2. Shrim rice noodle at Chau Truc Village (Phu My, Binh Duong)
Binh Duong is also famous for its unique taste in Bun Tom (Vermicelli with shrimp). Bun is not the same as other kinds of bun you have ever tried in Saigon or other provinces which has been made in ahead of time before you actually eat it. With Bun Tom, the seller only makes and boils Bun right after they receives orders. Shrimp is cooked in a special way to enhance your taste, too. Make sure you don’t miss the special dish when visiting Binh Duong.

 

3. Grilled beef with tile
Grilled beef is quite popular in many places but grilled beef in Binh Duong is special and delicious. Beef after grilling retains the aroma, delicious does not lose its taste.

 

This dish is served with rice paper and herbs such as perilla leaves, sliced ​​bananas, mugwort, star fruit, sour cucumber ... dipped with fish sauce.
