Cu Chi Tunnel is 50 km North of Ho Chi Minh City. It takes you 1.5 hours to access the place, it was ever the stronghold of Viet Cong during Vietnam War to approach the center of Sai Gon where the head quarter of Sai Gon Government located. Nowadays Cu Chi Tunnels is an open museum among the forest which help you to learn how Viet Cong survive during the war.

► Cu Chi Tunnels Tour ( A Half day tour )

 

This tour can start in the morning or in the afternoon, it depends on your wish.

At 8h00 our guide will pick you up from your hotel, get on air-conditioned car to travel north of the city. It takes 1h30 to access Cu Chi Tunnels. On arrival, you have  a chance to see the short documentary movie which is about how Vietcong survived under the powerful bombing attack by US army. Follow your guide on a tour around Cu Chi to see the remnants of the Vietnam War. Learn how the tunnels were built  more than 200km in length by very primative tools for over 12 years and learn how Viet Cong guerrila used them for many different purposes like meeting rooms, weapons stores, sleeping quarters, and kitchens. You also have opportunity to crawl in the tunnels system if you wish. The tunnels have been widened a little bit for tourists to access. You can see also the camouflaged trapdoors, bamboo traps and visit the shooting range (optional; own expense).

At the end of the excursion you can sit down to taste some pandan leaf tea and some boiled tapioca which was ever popular foods for Viet Cong during the war. Back to car and take a journey back to your hotel.
