ITINERARY:

Day 1 – Hanoi Arrival (D)


Welcome to Hanoi, Vietnam’s bustling colonial capital. Our driver and guide will meet you outside the baggage claim of Noi Bai Airport and take you to your hotel in the city center.
In the evening, Welcome Dinner will be hosted by Vietcam Holidays at nice restaurants.


Day 2 – Hanoi family Tour - night train to Lao Cai (B)


Start your day with a visit to Bat Trang village - the most famous and long-standing pottery village in Vietnam. You will walk through the village, visiting different homes and observing the ceramic production process. At some workshops, your children can join in one process of making pottery. The product can be taken home as a souvenir. 
After lunch, explore Hanoi with the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first university for an overview about Hanoian culture and ancient Vietnamese architecture. Continue to the Ethnology Museum to learn more about the diversity in ethnic communities of Vietnam. Enjoy cyclo tour around Hoan Kiem lake before coming back to your hotel
In the evening enjoy a traditional Water Puppet Performance – a unique Vietnamese Art form hailing from Southeast Asia’s wet-rice culture – before heading to the train station to catch your night train to Laocai.


Day 3 – Laocai – Sapa (B)


The train arrives at the Laocai railways station in the early morning. Your guide and driver will meet you there and take you on the 40km drive to Sapa – Northwest Vietnam’s premier travel destination. Enjoy breakfast at the hotel then catch a few hours of rest before beginning your adventure in this beautiful mountain landscape and home to many minority hill tribe peoples. In the late morning, your guide will take you on a two hour trek through the terraced rice fields to visit the villages Cat Cat and Sin Chai, where you will learn about local traditions and daily life. Rest of the day, you are free at leisure or explore the town on your own.


Day 4 – Sapa – Visit hill tribe villages (B,L)


Enjoy breakfast at the hotel, before setting out on a full day’s trek to explore Sapa’s cultural diversity and haunting natural beauty. Take a guided hike through yawning valleys decorated with terraced rice fields and pass through remote hill tribe villages. You have three trekking options to choose from: Soft trek (~ 3 km), medium trek (~ 6km) and long trek (~ 12km). Trekking is an excellent way to explore the daily life and familiarize yourself with the cultures of the H’mong, Dzao and Dzay people who populate the region. Have lunch at a hill tribe village then drive back to Laocai to catch your return night train to Hanoi.


Day 5 – Hanoi - Halong Bay (B,L,D)


Get picked up at Hanoi Railway Station at your arrival. You will have chance to see Hanoi before it becomes bustling later. After breakfast at Tara & Café Restaurant, drive 3.5 hours to Halong Bay passing the country side of Red River Delta.
Spend 24 hours on a traditional Junk Cruise in the amazing bay: a natural wonderland composed of jutting limestone islands and sparkling turquoise waters. Arrive at the dock around noon and board your junk. Savor a gourmet lunch of fresh seafood onboard as you sail out into the mystical bay. In the afternoon, cruise around some of Halong’s many islands, including Dinh Huong and Ga Choi. Along the way visit one of the bay’s 3 largest caves (Thien Cung, Dau Go or Sung Sot). Stop at an island cove with a sheltered white-sand beach and take a dip in the warm waters of the Gulf of Tonkin (weather permitting). Pass the night on your junk, lulled to sleep by the gentle rocking of calm waters. Overnight in cruise


Day 6 – Halong Bay - Hanoi – fly to Hue (B)


Awake early and participate in Tai Chi on the top deck or simply relax and enjoy the sunrise over the bay’s towering islands. Enjoy a morning cup of coffee or tea, before setting out to explore nearby islands by rowboat. Return to the junk for breakfast then take advantage of the sundeck and admire the amazing rock formations of Bai Tu Long Bay as you navigate back to Halong City. Your driver will meet you at the Halong jetty and take you back to Hanoi airport for your flight to Hue.
Upon your arrival, you will be transferred to hotel in Hue city. Overnight in Hue


Day 7 – Hue full day Tour (B)


Pick up from your hotel. A boat trip on the romantically named Perfume River visits Hue’s best-known religious sites, Thien Mu Pagoda. Then continue to discover Imperial Citadel from where the Nguyen Dynasty ruled between 1802 and 1945 including Flag Tower, Noon Gate, Nine Dynastic Urns, Nine Holy Cannons, Thai Hoa Palace, and Forbidden Purple City.
The afternoon continues with a visit to the elaborate tombs of emperors Tu Duc & Khai Dinh. Your tour guide will give you a deep understanding about King’s philosophy of geomancy and how this affected royal life. Back to hotel and relax.

 

Day 8 – Hue – Danang – Hoian (B) 


Leave Hue in the morning, drive Southward to Hoi An (140km) with a stop at scenic beach of Lang Co for a drink then drive over the 500m high Hai Van pass. From top of the pass, on nice days, you can enjoy the whole vista of Danang, the Tien Sa seaport, Son Tra Peninsula, Cham island and long sandy beaches. You can also stop to visit Cham museum and Mable Mountain before proceeding to Hoi An. Check in your hotel.
Overnight in Hoian


Day 9 – Hoian Ecotour - walking tour (B,L)


After breakfast, at 8.30 am pick you up at your hotel, riding to the beautiful village over small beautiful narrow roads to visit countryside life views such as rice paddle fields, water buffalos, bamboo bridges, local farmers on farming shrimp on the daily works. Learning and sharing local farming life experience with local the farmer at a vegetable village such as hoeing sand, watering vegetable….
Getting on board to arriving the Mouth of the Cua Dai Sea where the end of Hoian river meets the sea, getting to along the coastline visiting the local fishing life. Learning and sharing fishing experience with local fishermen by joining and catching fish with unique fishing nets
* Learning how to ride funny round boat (basket boat) - It is safe even for the kid.
* Getting back boat to discover the water palm coconut canal paradise
Keep discovering the beautiful water coconut palm canal paradise by watching birds, observing the fishing life along the palm canal paradise by basket boats to learn about local fishing people Back Eco-tour boat by basket boats to enjoy great seafood meal from "The End of The world restaurant” served on eco-tour boat.
Back to the town after lunch, we will enjoy few hour walking tour through the narrow winding streets of the Ancient Quarter visiting Chua Ong Pagoda, Chinese Assembly Halls, the 200-year old Tam Ky ancestral house and the Japanese Covered Bridge. Hoian is also famous for its large number of tailor shops, so if you want to have a new wardrobe made up; this is the time to do it.


Day 10 – Hoian free – Danang – Fly to Saigon (B)


Have breakfast at hotel, you will have one day free at leisure then take late flight to Saigon.
Upon your arrival, you will be transferred to hotel in the center. Overnight in Saigon.


Day 11 – Saigon city - Cu Chi (B)


Have breakfast at hotel, our guide and driver will pick you up for a day tour ahead.
We drive to Cu Chi Tunnel which is only 70km from the center of Saigon. This place was called “Iron Triangle” by American during the war and actually it stood as a stronghold of Vietcong (Vietnamese Army) for almost 30 years despite of many American bombs and military actions. A walk underground the tunnels will help you understand how the Vietnamese people had fought and won the war. 
This afternoon, you will visit Ho Chi Minh City:
Gain an insight into the city’s development through a walking tour to the most significant landmarks including the Opera House, the Town Hall, the Notre Dame Cathedral and the Post Office in the French quarter before visiting the Reunification Palace outside and the War Museum continuing with the visit to the Tan Dinh Wet market and the holly Jade Emperor Pagoda, put the end to the tour by the learning of making lacquer at the handicap- handicrafts Lacquerware Factory ( this option is flexible if time permits, please advise your Tour Guide during the tour). Overnight in Saigon.


Day 12 – Saigon - Mekong Delta - Can Tho (B,L)


Today you leave Saigon and travel to the Mekong River Delta. Enjoy an early breakfast at the hotel before driving to the riverside town, Cai Be. Along the way, stop at a candy factory and orchard garden, where you have an opportunity to listen to traditional music. Enjoy a relaxing lunch at a riverside restaurant, then cross the Mekong by motorized boat to visit some fluvial islands and explore the countryside by bicycle. Your driver and will meet you at Vinh Long jetty and take you to Can Tho City for the night.


Day 13 – Can Tho - Saigon (B)


Enjoy a morning boat cruise to the Cai Rang Floating Market which is full of small boats and vessels that deliver goods from all parts of the Mekong Delta. You will have a chance to observe lively activities of merchants trading their produce. Continue cruising to the Ba Lang Canal; stop at an orchard to enjoy the seasonal fruit before returning to Saigon. Overnight in Saigon.


Day 14 – Saigon Departure (B) 


Have breakfast at the hotel then enjoy the free day at your leisure before driving to the airport to catch your return flight home.
